5. Kawasan Falls
This is one of the most famous waterfalls in the Philippines and you can see why. This one maybe our top instagrammable places in the Philippines. If you get here early enough you can get a photo like the one above, there is a small rock which you can walk along and stick your camera on self-timer and run back. They have recently stopped letting people ride on the bamboo floats into the waterfall so this is your best bet in front of the waterfall.
Do it for the gram? If you have the guts, you can walk up a set of stairs to the left-hand side of the waterfall and climb up to this spot. I do not know how sturdy this tree is but I have seen this shot a few times on Instagram and it blows me away every time.
If you keep walking up the stairs to the left-hand side of the main waterfall, you will come across this beaut location. As with everything in the Philippines, get here early so you don’t get anyone else in your photo.
Kawasan is the gift that keeps on giving, on the path to the waterfall you can find this beautiful walkway which is great with the right filter! Check out our full Travel Guide here.

16. Barracuda Lake
The beautiful freshwater lake which requires life jackets. That being said, as soon as you jump in from the stairs, on the right-hand side is this amazing rock formation which you can swim down and get a good Insta shot! All you have to do is wait for others to move out the way as the ladder is directly behind this shot. Oh and make sure you don’t lose your life jacket on the surface.
17. Kayangan Lake – Coron
After many, many, many stairs there is a lookout which is beautiful BUT if you keep going down the stairs then you get to the wooden walkway pictured above. If you get here early enough then you can get a good picture, without people disturbing the water you are able to get perfect reflections if it is a good day! This lake is thought to be the clearest in Asia!
Location📍: 20 minutes offshore from Coron, accessible by day trip boats.
18. Twin Lagoon – Coron
Another early boat trip to this one, as is everything in Coron. This is the first stop on most trips so best to beat the crowds. The water is crystal clear but as the boats can only drop you off at the entrance, there is a short swim (with life jackets) round to these stairs. I have no idea how there is no one in this picture above because it was a sea of life jackets when I was there at 9 am. Can you see why this made our Top 20 Instagram locations in the Philippines?
