Things To Do In Merimbula NSW
Merimbula Aquarium
This 27-tanked aquarium boasts a large ocean tank allowing you to look through the glass straight into the ocean. The aquarium has a set feeding time at 11:30 am Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Broadwalk
This flat and smooth boardwalk is approximately 3.4 km long and is great for pushchairs and bikes due to its flat nature. The route is clearly signposted allowing you to take in all the wildlife and vegetation.

Goodenia Rain Forest Walk
Located within the national park. This 1.2 km trail winds through cool temperate forest and over streams bustling with life. Throughout the forest is an abundance of wildlife including some interesting bugs. There is a picnic area complete with BBQ’s ensuring you don’t go hungry after you have built up an appetite.

Top 3 beaches In Merimbula
Bar Beach
This beautiful beach is sheltered from the wind which makes it popular for families. It also has amazing snorkelling spots and when the tide is low you can swim across the Main beach or take a stroll at Spencers Park Beach. Here there are outdoor showers and amenities.

Main Beach Merimbula NSW
This 6km long sandbar is perfect for the surfers and is best with a south swell. There are amenities and BBQ areas along this sandy stretch.

Spencer Park Beach Merimbula
At this beach, there are no waves. The sea is shallow and calm but watches out for the oyster-covered rocks which are super sharp. There is a playground for the kids along with showers, amenities, and a BBQ area.

Places to eat in Merimbula
Bar Beach Kiosk
This small shack on the top of the beach is highly rated in Merimbula for the amazing views and the great for a very reasonable price. This is our cheap eat option.

Dulcie’s Cottage
This is a quirky bar and burger joint and is currently #1 on trip advisor. Located in a small wooden cottage with a burger truck out the front, the delicate fairy lights surrounding the restaurant make it extremely enticing. With plenty of outside seating, this restaurant is a great place for cocktails whilst watching the sunset.

The Waterfront Cafe
Coffee and cake or stopping for brunch. this place is the perfect way to end your time exploring Merimbula. This cafe located at the water’s edge provides amazing coffee and a view to going with it.

Tourist Drive 11
Pambula – Merimbula – Tathra – Bega
For gardeners and those with an interest in native flora, anyone with a love of the bush and beach will find this tour a delight.
Tourist Drive 11 begins at the historic town of Pambula. Head north and you will come to the town of Merimbula. As you continue up along the coast you will eventually arrive at the beautiful town of Tathra. Once you are done exploring here head west for 4.5km and you will arrive in the much larger town of Bega. Bega is a great place to stock up on any essentials before you head back out on the road.
