Located along the Moruya river, this small but beautiful town hosts many outdoor activities for everyone. From kayaking along the meandering river to jumping out of a plane at 14,000 feet Moruya has it all.
Things to do in Moruya NSW
Kayaking along to the Morya River
The trail can last up to 38 km but you can make it last as long as you like.
The best starting locations are at the North Head Campground. Here you can regularly see dolphins playing around in the river. If you turn left 2 km east of Moruya Bridge at high tide you can paddle up to Ryans Creek and see mangroves and granite boulders.
If you take the western side of the river you pass through farmland and forest areas where kangaroos graze at the side of the river bank.
Before heading out on the water always check a map and weather conditions.

Bingi Dreaming Track
The Bingi Dreaming Track allows you to follow the stunning 13km walking trail in the footsteps of the Yuin Aboriginal people. A grade 3 trail which should take you between 4-6 hours passes through many different environments, from forest and bushland to coastal cliffs and aboriginal ceremonials sites.
Along the way keep a lookout for humpback whales making the long journey north along the coastline. Also, don’t forget to bring a towel and swimming costume as there are plenty of places to stop for a swim along the trail.
You can start at either end of the trail as there are car parks at both ends. Congo in the north and Turoos Heads in the south.

Located at the mouth of the Mourya River this beautiful spot is easy to get to and great for the family with a number of picnic spots along the coastline.
