Eden – Merimbula – Tathra – Bermagui – Narooma – Moruya – Batemans Bay – Ulladulla– Jervis Bay
As you continue along the coast you leave the Sapphire Coastline and merge into the Eurobodalla Coast. This starts in a small town called Tilba Tilba and is close by overlooking the ocean in the small town of Mystery Bay.
Both have charm but especially Mystery Bay where there is an amazing beach with stunning rock formations and high cliffs that gives you an amazing view of the ocean and a great place to stop and watch whales pass by in peak season. Continue North and eventually, you will reach the larger town of Narooma.
Things to do in Narooma NSW
Sea Wall Walk – Wagonga Head
Take a drive into the town centre and head to Bar Rock Road. At the end is a small free car park. Once here take the path at the end of the road to Bar Rock lookout, once you have taken a few snaps head down the stairs and turn right and you will a large hole in a rock.
This has been named Australia Rock we will leave it down to you to decide if you think it looks like the country. Keep walking along the sea wall and you will see a number of seals sunbathing and catching fish along the wall.

Narooma to Dalmeny cycle path
If you have your own bike or are a keen walker then this new track is perfect for you. At 6km long, the path follows the coastline and gives some amazing views along the way. If you don’t have your own bike they can be hired from Narooma Bike Hire – 0403 157 290.
Montague Island
Whether you are a keen diver or just want a day out at sea then take a short boat ride to Montague Island. Home to over 90 species of bird and a lot of seals this beautiful island will usually have amazing water visibility which is great for snorkelling or diving. You can visit the old lighthouse and even stay in one of the cottages for the night. This island and the surrounding ocean are part of NSW National Parks.
Top 3 beaches in Narooma
Surf beach
Ideal named due to its amazing surfing conditions. Popular with the local surfers of Narooma and to the south of the beach is Glasshouse Rocks. A stunning rock formation is a popular location for photographers.Â

Narooma Bar Beach South
Probably the safest place to swim around Narooma. This beautiful beach has shallow areas for the kids to swim and snorkel due to the large sea wall protecting the inlet. Also at the location are BBQs, Picnic areas, and a child’s play area. On the western side of the picnic area, you will find a boardwalk that will take you to Wallaga Lake.

Handkerchief Beach
Located south of Narooma this picture-perfect beach and picnic area is a great spot to spend the day in the sand. With toilet facilities at the location grab some lunch and throw down a few towels and enjoy the ocean air.Â

To access follow the Princes Highway south of Narooma and take the first turn left after Island View Beach Resort. Follow the dirt track until you reach the picnic area.

Our cheap eat option, Ciccios Surf beach Cafe offers great breakfast and cafe whilst you are out exploring this town. With a great view overlooking the beach, it’s not a bad way to start your day.
