Injidup Natural Spa is the most picturesque spa you will ever visit and a true wonder of nature. Below you can find out how to get here, where the rock pools are, and what to expect.
One of the best things about travelling is that you always manage to find an excuse to have a massage, especially if you’re travelling through Asia. After carrying that heavy backpack, a good neck and shoulder rub is very welcomed.
As you have probably already worked out, Australia is A LOT more expensive than Asia. But don’t worry, we have put together this guide on the Injidup Natural Spa at no cost. This means you can still have your pampering session for FREE, overlooking the amazing coastline, in Western Australia’s most popular natural spa.
Okay, so it’s not quite the back, neck, and shoulder massage that you are used to. But in your private rock pool with the ocean waves crashing over it makes for an amazing place to spend the day relaxing.
WARNING ⚠️: Before you go any further, please read this.
Wind and Tide conditions in the ocean can change in an instant, the Injidup Natural Spa in Yallingup is no different. If you are climbing on the rocks and taking pictures please be extremely careful. Freak waves especially at high tide can crash over the rocks and completely submerge the rockpools!

Where Is Injidup Natural Spa Western Australia? 📍
The Injidup Natural Spa is found in Western Australia just south of the town of Yallingup. From Perth to the Injidup Natural Spa in the South West is a 3-hour drive.
It forms part of the stunning coastal landscape and is only a short 30-minute drive from the centre of Margaret River Town.
The Margaret River region is known for its wine, chocolate, and cheeses. Klook runs great Wines Tours departing from Perth.
Whilst nearby you should check out Hamelin Bay
This bay is homed to a large family of stingrays you can see from the water’s edge.
How To Get To Injidup Natural Spa 🗺️
Like most of Australia buses and trains are limited. This makes getting to the Injidup Natural Spa a little tricky and only accessible by car. We were lucky enough to have our converted campervan.
Whether you beg, borrow, and hire a car with a group of mates, it will be well worth the time and money you have invested into getting here.
The Injidup Natural Spa Address
This can get a little confusing. When we used apple maps the location populates as you would expect on the map. But for some strange reason, once you click on directions, the app sends you to the small town of Yallingup. You don’t want to end up here as we did.
We think it must be for these reasons the Injidup Natural Spa also gets called The Yallingup Natural Spa.
Instead, we would recommend you search for the Injidup Spa Retreat which is an actual spa resort. The retreat is located along Wyadup Road which is the same road the free Injidup Natural Spa can be found. The Injidup Spa Retreat looks amazing unfortunately we were not lucky enough to stay here instead we continued sleeping in our van whilst on a Western Australia Road Trip.
But if you are looking for somewhere to relax for the weekend, then we would highly recommend it just for the view alone.
Once you have passed the turnoff for the Injidup Spa retreat, continue along the road as it bears right and you will see the ocean and huge sea cliff. At the end of the road, there is a small parking area.
After you have parked the car you want to be facing the sea and take the left-hand side path. We say the word path loosely as it starts as a marked track but you will end up climbing over rocks to reach the pools and beach below.
The Injidup Natural Spa car park address is 310 Wyadup Rd, Yallingup WA 6282, Australia.
What To Expect At Injidup Natural Spa⁉️
After seeing lots of pictures on Instagram of the Injidup Natural Spa we were very excited to see this natural wonder. Although we had seen lots of pictures we still didn’t know what to expect. We did some research and there wasn’t much online about it.
So we have written this part so you know what to expect when you arrive and just to make you that little bit more excited about your visit here.
We can confirm that there are kilometres and kilometres of perfect white beaches with crystal clear water crashing along the shore. Jaw-dropping cliffs that have been eroded over thousands of years and have left behind several tidal rock pools for you to swim in.
The main pool can become very busy on holiday time or weekends, but there are plenty of smaller pools and places to explore along the coastline.
Best Time To Go To Injidup Natural Spa? ⏱️
The first time we visited was during the school holidays in the middle of the week. This was a big mistake as we struggled to find a parking space and once we reached the pools it was completely packed with limited space to swim and leave our belongings.
Instead, we recommend coming for sunrise and if you can, on a weekday. We recommend you check the tide times. Visiting at low tide makes the rock pool water a lot clearer and calmer.
Things To Do At The Injidup Natural Spa Yallingup? 🏖️
Next to the main spa rock pool, there are several other tidal pools which you can explore, just be aware of high tide as some of the waves can fill up to pools quickly.
The main beach area is very popular with local surfers and sharks so beware.
What To Bring To Injidup Natural Spa? 👙
- All the usual beach gear swimmers and towels.

- Wet Shoes, we highly recommend bringing them as it makes climbing over the rocks a lot easier.
- Go Pro, to get all those amazing shots.
- Plenty of food and water.
Injidup Natural Spa Camping? ⛺
There is no camping at the Injidup Natural Spa. The closest campsite is in the town of Yallingup 10 minutes drive away.
You have a choice of two campsites, The Yallingup Beach Holiday Park and Caves Caravan Park Yallingup.
We visited the Natural Spa for sunrise which allowed us to explore more of Margrett River and ended up in Hamelin Bay for the night, ready to see the stingrays the next morning.
Are There Any Facilities? 🚽
No there are no facilities here. Please remember to take any rubbish away with you to preserve this amazing spot for others in the year to come.
Where Is The Closest Large Town? 🌆
Margret River is around 30 minutes South and Dunsborough is a 20-minute drive North.
Alternatively, if you are heading back to Perth we recommend stopping off in the town of Busselton. Here you can see the second-longest wooden jetty in the world!
Things To Do Near Injidup Natural Spa 🏄♂️
North
- There is plenty to do in the South-West of Australia. If the ocean is your thing then you should check out Cannel Rocks. Over the years the force of the sea created a Cannel that runs through a large rock formation, it is very impressive to witness mother natures work.
- Further North of Cannel Rocks you have another rock formation called SugerLoaf Rock which is worth a visit.
South
- Margaret River is known for its food and drink, but it is also famous for its extensive cave systems. A lot of them are similar so we wouldn’t recommend visiting them all but some of the best ones for you to choose from are Mammoth Cave, Lake Cave, and Ngilgi Cave.
Accommodation In Margaret River 🏨
If camping isn’t your thing then there is plenty of accommodation in Margaret River. From budget hostels which are mainly on the outskirts of Margaret River, full of backpackers working on the farms. Or luxury homestays complete with complimentary wine and cheese, we have included it all.
